In Year two, we begin the Autumn term learning all about Media & Broadcasting and looking at the history of how early methods of communication was made, leading on to how television and radio were invented. We will also have fun producing our own broadcasts of the news from around Wolston St Margaret’s.
Our Learning then moves on to our new topic of ‘Zero to Hero' where we take a closer look through history at inspirational heroes and heroines that have overcome major challenges in their lives to become inspirational figures.
From there we sail on to ‘Land Ahoy’ where the key learning will focus on Science looking at sound, speed and motion alongside Geography, researching our Continents and Oceans.
Finally, we ‘Go Wild’ delving deeper into Science looking at Humans and Animals. In particular we focus on extinction, conservation destruction of habitats and endangered species.
